![]() Library CollectionsAudiovisual CollectionThe library houses over 2000 video, audiotape and slide programs. Topics range from personnel management to clinical medicine. The collection includes a number of patient education videos, video and audio programs for use in preparation for taking boards, and video series in cardiothoracic surgery and orthopedic surgery. The collection also includes the CIBA slide collection and an extensive collection of slides for major disease groups. Also available are audiotape series in cardiology, internal medicine, emergency medicine, general surgery, gastroenterology, psychiatry, and obstetrics and gynecology. The Network for Continuing Medical Education video series is also part of the collection. Book CollectionThe library's book collection covers all aspects of the clinical spectrum, as well as basic sciences and research, allied health, nursing, hospital administration, statistics, ethics, computer applications and management issues. Most of the collection circulates, with the exception of the reference and reserve materials. These books remain in the library for quick consultation. Computer Resources Available in the LIbraryComputer resources are housed in the Learning Resources Center and the Education Media Center, both located across from the entrance of the library. There are 10 workstations, each with access to the Internet, bibliographic databases, basic office software, and specialized programs. Both laser and dot matrix printers are available from all workstations. Clinical Fulltext ReferencesResources are available only to authorized users.
